Life continues
February 1st has arrived. It has been a little over 4 weeks since we said our final goodbyes to my dad. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him. I have been keeping busy in carrying on his legacy and keeping his memory alive. He would not want me to wither and be sick over his passing. He would want me to let him go and go on with life as I am. I have my days when the tears are uncontrollable and then there are days when I can breathe and smile looking at his picture and feel him near me. Christmas is over, I finally took down my tree and decorations around the house. Normalcy is returning to our household in some sense. I have been experimenting with new looks for my downstairs. I decided to move my dry sink from the dinning room to the living room. No longer is it unseen in the other room but making a fresh bold new statement in my living room where my tree stood for the past two months until I took it down on the 30th. I bought some new beautiful frames and have been filing them with pictures of my loved ones. I have more than a few out of my Dad. I like this because it makes me feel close to him. There is nothing like family and we have to love one another and hold each other close. Cherish your family. I am so blessed, God has been so good to me and my family. Our lives show his favor upon us. I am so grateful for his Love, Care, Grace and Mercy and forgiveness.
