Mother's Day

The view from the top floor of the mall built partially over the ocean. I would sit here for hours watching the waves come in while listening to music.

The door that leads to the deck on the top floor of the mall if you want to enjoy the view outdoors. There were wooden beach chairs outside as well to sit in which I did and enjoyed the warmth of the sun.


I hope everybody had a beautiful Mother's Day this past Sunday. I know I did spending the day with my kids. I had an even greater time with my mom Tuesday-Thursday when we took our annual trip to the Jersey Shore. Three days of relaxation, fine food, and time together. The weather was great. It was nice to sit on the 3rd floor deck of the mall and overlook the ocean while listening to music on my ipod. My daughter treated me to a pedicure the day before I left on Monday. She was going to pay for my hair to be colored at the beauty salon but she had just permed it the week before so it was too early for them to do it. The weekend of Mother's day I found some great deals on clothing at the Avenue so I had some new things to pack for my trip unexpectedly. All in all mom and I had another blessed mini getaway. Thank you God for our traveling mercies, safe lodging, and the time we shared.

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Looking for gift ideas for mom? Being a mom myself and knowing now how special it is to have quiet time to yourself or just a time to be pampered, how about a gift certificate to a few hours of pampering at a local spa? Most moms, especially the ones with young children would enjoy a couple of hours away from the nest for a nice massage and facial, and how about having a nice meal and some sweet tea at home waiting for her when she returns.

Mother's Day!!!!! (5-13-12)

Less than one week to Mother's Day! Moms do so much, they deserve to be honor at all times as the Lord says they should be. I am glad there is was a special day given for us to honor our moms nationally annually. This week we will be posting some things pertaining to MOM. I am making this Mom week at the group, post some special memories or pictures of your mom if you like. God Bless our Mothers!!!



The purpose of this national holiday is to recognize the contribution of mothers and strengthen family bonds. Mother's Day was proclaimed as a national holiday on May 8, 1914 in the United States by President Woodrew Wilson. The establishment of this day of celebration can be credited to Anna M. Jarvis (1864 - 1948), who wanted to honor her mother's wish for a day of observance for mothers. When the young Anna Jarvis listened to her mother wish during a Sunday school class on women in the Bible, there was no day of observance for women. She started a campaign to fulfill her mother's wish two years after her mom died.

Jesus Arose!!!

We are powerless and totally inadequate in regards to atoning for our sins. The redemption work of our Lord, and Savior, Jesus the Christ is the only means of atonement being made on our behalf. For the WORD says we all fall short, the wages of sin is death, and all our righteousness is like filthy rags. Jesus accomplished at the cross what we as mortals cant and never will be able to do. Jesus broke the power of death and showed humanity the way to immortality (2 Timothy 1:10).

We can be set free from the bondage of sin and the sentencing of eternal separation from God and everlasting torment but we have to accept the gift (John 3:16) that God is trying to give us. Reject and be sentenced to death---accept, be pardoned, and live. (Romans 6:23)

We have to confess with our mouths that we are sinners, and believe in our hearts that Jesus died in our place so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life. Knowing that you have done so, when someone asks you where will you spend eternity you can say with the utmost confidence that it will be with the one who died so that you could have new life....JESUS...(Romans 10:9-10)

Making My grandson a Easter Basket

I put these stickers on the front of the container to Easter it up a little more. How does it look.

Here is the beginnings of my positioning everything in his basket on a bed of white and yellow grass, ok yes I have to take off the price tags lol and add the plastic over it and attach a bow. His Mickey mouse books and puzzles I am going to have to put in a gift bag separately because the container is not wide enough for me to put them in with the rest of the stuff. I am about to print out the jelly bean prayer tags for my eggs that I will fill with jelly beans on Saturday to give out at church on Sunday.

When I am finished it I will post the completed photo minus the price stickers as well. LOL Happy Holy Weekend!

Easter is near

2 days before Easter. Do you have your dinner meal planned and your table settings ready. I love the Christmas and the Easter Holidays, a time of reflection, hope, love, thanks, new beginnings, and a beautiful time with family and friends.
