Thrifting

Oh how I love when it feels like I hit the jackpot at the thrift store. Yesterday I found three things dirt cheap. I was looking for a footstool and some neutral curtains and the 1940 Vintage lamp with the Milk Glass shades was a country bonus, those lamps are expensive on the market. What I paid for mine was 91% below market value. Happy Dance Happy Dance. I can't wait to put up my neutral curtains but I am going to give my buffalo check ones til the end of the month then I will do the switch over. I will  show you pictures when I get them hung.

Do I love the thrift store? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great finds cheaper price!

I was never ashamed to say I scout out thrift stores and yard sales for treasures. When your on a budget which I am not ashamed to say as well you have to be wise with purchases. You have to live before you shop. First things first and if you have pennies saved over maybe you can go look for some treasures once in a while or be blessed in the department of good friends sending you their overflow or just giving you things as a gift. I have been blessed in both areas. I haven't been to the thrift store in quite a while for that very reason. Survival first. I got to visit one of my favorite thrift stores of the past and had the blessing of free door to door service so I grabbed a few fantastic deals while I visited. I was overjoyed mind you because I found some perfect Christmas pieces one being a Mr. and Mrs. Claus that I had been searching for as a set for years. Well the search is over shall I say. I was looking for an animated Mrs Claus and thought I found her, the one pictured, but she didn't work when I plugged her in so I had to return her back to the shelf and the search for her continues but who knows it may end soon. I will keep you posted.
