Two ways to Make a Ham for Christmas



Way # 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Remove ham packing materials. Place ham cut side down in a oven roasting bag. Pour in a can of slice pineapple rings include pineapple juice and add and half a cup of brown sugar. Bake the in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes per pound.

Way # 2

If you choose to glaze your ham after it cooks instead of cooking it with glazing ingredients already in your bag. You can do as follows: Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Remove ham packing materials. Place ham cut side down on large sheet of foil in roasting pan and wrap the ham with foil. Warm the ham in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes per pound. Add your Glaze on your ham 15 minutes prior to its completed cooking time. Mix the glaze ingredients below in a large mixing bowl and brush completely over the entire ham and put back in the oven uncovered for the last 15 minutes of cooking time.

Glaze:

2 sticks salted butter (room temperature)

1 cup dark brown sugar

1/2 cup molasses

1/4 cup apple cider

1/4 cup bourbon (optional)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
