Am I going to haggle about the date and or the season? NO, I will not but what I will do is celebrate his first coming and be grateful that there is a date set worldwide to acknowledge it. Yeah I know the history please, but what I do believe is God took on flesh and was born of a virgin. He came to redeem man, He is the only Savior and God. Yes, there is commercialism and some don't see this day as a celebration of the fact that he did come and HOPE abounds and I am going to leave that right there because this is not a discussion about who does what and who doesn't do what. I am just grateful for the Love of God and that he is a forgiving God who gives many chances. He could have just wiped us all out and started fresh as he did in the days of Noah but instead he showed his love toward us and he came and died for us. He was the perfect sacrifice for sin that the blood of bulls and goats couldn't do it all so He came and shed his blood once and now his blood is all we need. Thank you Jesus for coming and bringing Salvation to us. Grab a hold of him, if you don't know him, seek him. This time next year is not guaranteed neither is the completion of the day for that matter so don't wait. This is real yall, its more than debating, shopping, decorating, gathering and feasting. It's all about JESUS. Not saying there is anything wrong with giving because God gave us the BEST GIFT EVER which nothing can top and he had fellowship and he ate. All I am saying is amongst the gift giving and the food and fellowhip let Jesus be in it.
God knows the heart and motive of every person so don't be worried about the debators or the naysayeers. None of us were there we only have God's word to go by and the Bible says he came and he is also coming again. Glory to God, He knows who your worship and if you are real about your proclamations so don't be distracted.
I know I am just jumping for Joy about Christ. Enough said.......
Peace and Blessings.....
