Hello and Welcome to my Blog!

Hi and Welcome to my blog!

My blog is dedicated to all those who have a passion for decorating such as myself and all the lovers of country living out there. I am a city girl with a country heart. I love country decor. My home is where I get to express myself artistically and show off my country decorating skills. I am pleased that when people visit me they compliment the warmth and style of my decorating.

I am a stay at home mom of three and grandma to one. I am a pure lover of country decor. Every time I think I want to try a new style of decorating I can't sway myself from the simplicity of country decorating. I love the serene feeling it gives me to live in this type of home even though it's not located in the country.

I am a true bargain hunter. I believe in trash to treasure and am not afraid of giving second hand furniture a makeover. I always say why go on a shopping spree when you can create it yourself almost for free. I embrace DIY projects. I hope my journey in decorating inspires others to make their dwelling space a cozy place to come home to. You can do amazing things to your home even if you are on a budget! There is a little bit of creativity in us all. I want to share with you ideas on how to create a sanctuary for yourself that you and your family will love. I always say be yourself, go with your own taste and likes in creating your living space into that ideal place that makes you happy and true to yourself! My taste just happens to be Country.

I am a firm believer that you can style your home without breaking the budget even more in today's market with all the craft stores, sales, coupons and rewards programs that some of the stores offer. I for one still love flea markets, yard sales and thrift stores. I’ve always enjoyed bargain hunting  before many caught on LOL. I remember when it would only be a few people in the second hands stores shopping now there are lines outside before they even open. Well, it's true the early bird catches the worm. My mom is talented herself. Her profession was a seamstress, she made children's clothes for department stores. She used to make clothes for me when I was little. She was the one who taught me how to crochet. She tried to teach me how to knit and make clothes but those two things I never mastered.

I love hunting for items that help bring my vision and style to light. My blog will document my love for my family as well as my passion for decorating. I hope it will inspire you to make beautiful spaces in your own home without spending a fortune. Your home is suppose to be your happy place. It is a space away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world, a place of serenity and relaxation. I am excited to share a small piece of my life and passion with you all. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Have a blessed day and please come again.
